John Deere - Paint peeling off in sheets
on year number 4, this tractor alwasys garaged, washed after each mowing, the paint started peeling off in sheets, No Primer, Called John Deere, :"Oh we are sorry you have had an issue, I will assign a customer complaint number, thank you for calling, goodby.........
Never buy a John Deere! If I see people looking at them at Lowes I will engage them in conversation and tell them of the issue and extremely poor customer service, as well as poor product.
You better off with a MTD. The transmissions are sealed, meaning you cannot service them, yet they fail with alarming frequency POS.

JD LA105 Exact same thing - paint peeling off & no primer underneath. John Deere has sacrificed its reputation for a few cents worth of primer.
Idiots. No more John Deere for me.
I have encountered the same issue. Not chipping paint but large sheets falling off.
Anyone that has dealt with paint, KNOWS that itโs a primer issue. Shame on John Deere for playing the consumer as idiots.
Multi generation of John Deere buyers lost because of the obvious drop in the John Deere standards. So sad.
