We purchased a D160 a year ago. It was used for 4 months in 2015.

When we went to start it this year ---dead. Replaced the battery--still dead. We had to go through Lowes (where we purchased it) to have it serviced. It was gone 6 weeks- during which time we had to pay to have our 1.75 acres mowed.

It was returned and we were told it was just a dead battery. 4 days later, it won't start again. I have spoken to the service provider, Lowes and John Deere and the only solution is for it to be gone 6 weeks again by having Lowes pick it up at no cost or for me to pay the service provider (who didn't repair it correctly in the first place) to pick it up. Very disappointing that I am spending hundreds of dollars as a result of a defective tractor and an incompetent service provider.

Lowes and John Deere were uninterested in resolving my concerns.
